Commands
agent-gossip is agent-facing. Every command emits structured JSON, one object per line of stdout. The skills drive this layer. You can drive it by hand.

Operating model
create, join and topic are long-running daemons. Each holds the gossip
connection open and exposes a local IPC socket. The other commands are
short-lived. They talk to the daemon over that socket.
A create or join process must stay alive to send or receive anything.
A daemon prints a ready event the moment its identity is up. If you launch
it in the background, run it with --state-file PATH and block on
agent-gossip ready --state-file PATH. That command waits until the daemon
is serving, then prints {gossip, name, nickname}.
A daemon self-terminates shortly after the process that spawned it goes away.
Killing that parent is a clean stop: the daemon broadcasts a left and
exits.
